Ecotones Duet offers 10 SoundStories - high-quality, mostly natural recordings of relaxing sounds from ocean waves to crackling fires. Its built-in computer and microphone continuously "listen" for intruding noises such as barking dogs, automobiles, overhead airplanes, or loud roommates. In Adaptive Mode, Ecotones Duet dynamically adds sounds to the SoundStory and automatically adjusts volume to offer superior sound masking or neutralizing capabilities. All that's left to hear is a soothing natural sound that minimizes disruptions that disturb or interrupt sleep. As the noises subside, the Duet gradually and automatically returns to normal playback settings.

The Duet has been sized to make it compact and convenient to put on the smallest night stand. Despite its diminutive size, the Duet provides incredibly robust audio, letting the sound of nature gently rock you to sleep. All buttons are placed on the front for simple control and easy nighttime operation. A "Display" button turns off all front panel lights for operation in complete darkness at night. Sound richness adjusts at the touch of a button, allowing users to personalize any sound track to their individual listening preferences. The large makes changing sounds in the dark very easy. The device also includes a sleep timer with settings up to 120 minutes.
